Life and education
According to Russian-language hagiographical sources, Constantine Alexandrovich Bogoslovsky was born on February 17, 1871, in the Vologda Governorate, into the family of a priest. In 1891 he completed studies at the Vologda Theological Seminary and entered the Kazan Theological Academy, from which he graduated in 1895 with the degree of candidate of theology. He was subsequently ordained a priest.
